Not important, just wondered. I've never had the clock showing over 160mph on mine, which equates to, what, 145-150 real money ??
154.8 at bruntingthorpe track, i went with some "triumph" buffs, speedo was reading about 161pmh and that was when the bike was standard apart from the cans. I was tucked in though and wouldnt want to do that for too long. i did have by far the best sounding bike there though. :biggrin

Aha, a genuine reading. Not bad for something that can be had for a grand. Lot of bang per buck !!!

was running nodded airbox
It was OK then. :biggrin

I would say the Storm does what honda say it will do reading from the speedo, but knock off the percentage for inaccuracies and that's what they really do.

Good question, I don't know  There's nothing in the workshop or owner manual or the press pack regarding top speed. So I guess all we have to go on is what the magazines say.

I know there are variables, namely the size of the rider, but I'm talking your average 13 stoner, on a standard or minor modified bike.

Average my ass! I am 15st and that's after losing 3st.
How many adults are actually 13st? I was 13st when I was 16.

I don't think I could actually ever get to 13st unless I was cut in half by a train or something.

As for top speed..never done more than 110, need my licence too much!

Don't let Matt sit on the back then.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm 11 stone & 5,7. Have never had the guts to go all out; by the time I've nailed 3 gear to the limiter I'm backing off, if caught your licence is already dead 8O

BTW I am taller than Playerone
