Why don't you try Tesco's new tablet the Hudl. Looks good for £119 and they do the double club card points so you can get it knocked down quite a bit if you have some points.
Re: cheap touchscreen tablet
Some good suggestions there agent P. Still reckon the nexus is worth the extra dosh

I bought a Pipo Max M1, so good I got the wife and me dad one. Very good screen and has an HDMI output so you can plug it into your tv. All Android apps available (except Sky Go don't work on it yet):
oh, and the Kindle e-readers are brilliant, and can put the app on your phone/tablet and they all sync up.

Mmmmmm, stoned birds.....Virt wrote:You can hit two birds with one stone and get a Samsung Galaxy Note phone thing too, my friend has one and it's the size of small TV
He loves it though, it's sort of halfway between a tablet and a phone I guess. He uses it on the train Journeys when he comes back from Uni every few weeks
Mind you, they incinerate drug seizures in the local power station, and I've often wondered what happens to the birds on the chimney top......
Might be something to do with the phrase "stone the crows".
And afterwards; "as the crow flies"?
Don't know much about tablets, though, except the ones you get from that dodgy bloke round the back of the chippy that dips the handbags of the elderly ladies in the pop-in parlour for their meds.
I may have been drinking.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Tony, on a school night, tut tut....
Try getting a blackberry tablet, I got one about 3 years ago now as I hate Apples attitude (they are good things but).
Has good memory, battery lasts for ages, and you just drag and drop anything you want onto it.
Got a very easy clean screen too........

I'm with you there Grumpy though I'm not quite at the point of hate Apple but am getting to the point of disliking all this modern technology. The only people that really benefit from it is the big corporations ie the likes of Apple, Microsoft, Google, Advertising companies etc and the Government.I hate Apples attitude (they are good things but).

Another vote for the Tesco Hudl, we've got the eldest son one for Christmas as with Tesco vouchers it was only around £60parkergb6 wrote:I had a look today at the tesco one and for the money its a very good option

Re: cheap touchscreen tablet
as a general point using a backlit tablet as an e-reader is not such a good idea as they tire the eyes. You still can't beat e-ink (Kindle, Nook etc) for e-books. Horses for courses and all that.Mav617 wrote:

It will be a sad day when books disappear of the bookshelves. What will we leave behind for future generations, our history on a digital device with a flat battery.
