How much of that damage from the drop has been repaired Geo? Everything bar the fairing scratches?

• Screen - Replaced with AirBlade. Titanium bolts fitted.
• Right side front faring - slight crack still remains. Was planning to get carbon ones eventually
• Right side crash bung - I was going to either leave it or straighten it - Not done
• Right side ally rad guard - I was going to straighten it or replace - Not done yet
• Snapped plastic t-piece - Replaced with aluminum one off a rally car :)
• Bar end and lever - Was going to replace them at some point anyways - Not done

Ok, ill have a good think about it.

I wasn't 100% on getting one of these, but had thought about it as an option, and this one seems to have come along at the right time, however I hadn't planned to buy one until April when I could sell mine. I could still buy it now money wise, but just not sure I want to have to keep it in my garage all winter with no use, since I never ride once the roads are salted. I think there are issues with having a bike with no insurance too, isn't there a new continual insurance law now requiring insurance at all times otherwise it's a fine? If so, it'll mean starting a second policy, with no no claims I guess....

I believe that to be correct ziggy, if the bike is sornd you still need to have insurance. I'm not 100% sure what type of insurance as fully comp is useless as you shudnt be riding. A consideration would be to call existing insurance co they may help more.

If it's not on sorn it needs to be insured since continual insurance enforcement (CIE) rules were introduced earlier this year, you now need to have valid insurance for any vehicle that is not declared off the road.

You dont need insurance on a vehicle if it has been Sorned, I was going through this, they year when I thought I was keeping the Harley davidson, however if it gets nicked from your garage thats your problem, your lose it, so I looked into layup insurance and it works out to be as much if not a little more.

Yeah I just at this and it you need to have a sorn or insured. My bad, that will teach me to listen to someone else and not to check info.

ok, let me know if you change your mind. I'll try and get an MOT on it and some tax but I'll have to wait till pay day and see.

Chris, you can always get it added on as a second bike to your policy.
hurry up and make your mind up, as temptation is bursting my head in.
Geo, sorry to hear this, never a good thing.
I'll let Chris make his mind up first. :problem:
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time
