Now we see how history ( and it was only fifty years ago ) gets mangled, misunderstood and misrepresented. The programme was more about the social consequences of motorcycling and very little about the mechanics of it.
It fully met my expectations, except that it was nice to see Dave Croxford, He was one tough racer. e.g. in a race he was distracted by a fly that got into his safety helmet. He put out his tongue and when the fly landed he ate it.

How one other contributor No names, no writs (a supplier or parts for triton builders) could show his face after serving time for stealing Triumph engines from a local small dealer, I'll never know.

The following programme about the NW200 was far better and I would have missed it without the original "heads up"'

Does anybody else remember the Busy Bee café near Watford 500+ bikes there on most nights and almost none were "bog standard". beautiful specials put together in garden sheds and in some cases upstairs bedrooms. It was the Transport Café used in the original 'Alfie' film.
I went there often and never saw a fight or any trouble at all.

Of course I can work this out for myself & have even programmed the sky+ box, I'm just thinking of some of our more elderly members. Of course if you can recorded it all the better then you won't have to miss the Archers, so all will be good.

Here it is again in LARGE print so you can read it easier with the deteriorating eye sight I believe you can get subtitles up as well if the hearings going. Again ask the grandkids how.
