Carl, that's what is odd, the bike had been standing over night so it wasn't the contraction of any metal causing the tick, my money is on Magnum's theory.. now I'm going to have to burn the bike as I've heard it's the only way to exterminate the "Giant killer watch beetle of doom", maybe El President has come face to face with said beast and lived to tell the horrific tale?

That's weird then if the bike's been sitting overnight. It's either electrical, like a relay or something or something must be under extreme pressure and it's tension noises your hearing.
