Today the tuono has seen the first of a few mods to come. First off was a new screen. Unfortunately the old one started to crack due to stress so I thought I would treat the girl to a zero gravity touring screen

I have to admit it offers a lot more wind protection even though it isn't the nicest looking of shapes,

Then came the accident damage, I straighted out the bent crash bung bracket and refitted it to the bike. Ok the rad guard it still missing but I'll replace the fan and guards over winter....

Then the fun began.....

Got some pillion pegs fitted :) made some adapter plates so the pegs are lower for the missus and it happens that it has raised to cans up too, so now there in an ever nicer position and near as damn it level too :D

What next? Well we shall wait and see....

The bike has preformed well today. The missus and I rode to Cambridge to the church to hear the bans being read, more the missus idea, and in total we have covered around 200miles, most of which were country roads. The missus didn't find it to bad but we think her seat needs repadding as when we got back her elbow was a bit numb. Legs were not to bad with the pegs and hangers that were fitted yesterday

On the plus side the bike did rather well on mileage. We covered 93miles to get to the church and only had to put just over 10l in the tank 8o

All in all a good day, at least we didn't get rained on :)

It's got a little but not loads. I would say there's more than a standard storm seat though

Well it has been a while since I updated this thread, nearly 4 months  so thought I'd update it......

In these 4 months the bike has seen its share of roads. It has been to Devon and back and plenty of local blasts. I have to say that I am still loving it!

Over the past month or two though I have noticed I have been strougling to get my pr3s hot, sometimes hard to get warm. So the rear has been raised slightly, the rear gas also been softened up a little as the spring is to heavy for me and the front has been tweeked too. Even with the changes and dropping the tyre pressures a little I am still finding it hard to get hot tyres so as I have been told my Al, forget the temp and just ride, so that's what I'm going to try as the bike never feels like its about to give way on me even when cranked right over. Very odd but hey. Anyway....

I have now bagged myself some genuine akrapovic baffles so the track day is on!!!!!! I am thinking about changing the springs for some linear ones and swapping the oil before the day too. I think there fitted with progressive springs but I don't know yet but even if there linear they will be to heavy so my skinny ass so I'll order new ones. Or it may wait a while before doing them, not sure yet.

Still have a few plans for over winter which includes a custom screen to keep the wind off my shoulders at speed to stop the bike trying to tank slap. The main other bits are fixing a couple of oil weeps and tiding the bike up, replacing all the crash bungs with new for various reasons and the indicators front and rear. Will probably cost me 300-400 quid in parts over winter excluding the forks and rear shock service. That's just a rough guess, could be more, could be less. If less then that just means more fuel money for next year :D

Did I not give you the baffles? If I did, were they not official? 8O

I get the same problem on the storm now I have high bars, solution is to grip the tank with your legs and relax the grip on the bars... then it stops. [or slow down a bit, but that aint going to happen soon]
And having Stomp grips on the tank is a big help

I am looking into stomp grips but it would be nice to get something gripy but without the bobbles that the stomp grips have. Similar texture to wet and dry but made of rubber or something like that. May just end up being stomp grips
