Think most people know Jamie Daugherty already does a CBR shock for the storm... and converts them so they are the same length. I think this is the best way to do it and unless you have a good grip of bike geometry and the changes dropping the back by 40mm or so makes. I am not sure it is a good idea to take that amount of slack out with preload to set your ride height as your sag will probably be a long way out.
