Nah on the 1300s to be honest.

Sprint is a bit bland as stated above.

Multistrada is sexy but the GT is like £16k 8O 8O 8O

That's a fair shout. Got to look after the little ones. Get a goldwing then  a sprint st May be well suited for you. I had a serious look at one. Big tank, plenty of grunt, very good in the corners, very capable at big miles with being comfty and very good for the 100mile blasts. Sounds very nice with an after market can too. And they go on for ever if looked after. My old instructor had the tiger with the same 1050 engine in as the st and it had 74k on the clock. was as smooth as silk and went like stink. Saw him the other day actually with the same bike  it was 3 years ago I took my test so I dread to think how many miles it's has on it now

The Beemer I think would be more suitable for your style of riding and needs. My concern would be the servicing and parts cost, but at least, well, I hope, the build quality and reliability would be much better than the Aprillia. You have had good experience with the Beemers before too.

Multistarada defo suits your style but yet again servicing, parts and reliability thoughthe reliability is supposed to be a bit better on the duke these days. Duke  how about a superduke.

Personally I think the Tuano's are ugly but's personal preference.
apart from the lack of wind protectio
Now the RC8 is something else :biggrin

Good to hear you will be back on two wheels again mate.

Argh good call on the Yamaha Jamie and you beat be to the superduke.

I'm assuming that's a Vstrom 1000? My mate had a 650 and it was a very underrated bike, comfy and handled surprisingly well.

If you got an RC8 with a top box you could be forgiven and allowed to live...

But you'd have to let me ride it first! :D

I'd go and but the ducati tomorrow if I could afford it (and reach the floor!)

I'll check out the tiger sport 1050. There are a few 2nd hand ones around now
