Mallory park track day 08/11/14
Re: Mallory park track day 08/11/14
Yes, I was thinking I need to try a bit more sociable riding and hang back with the forum group to enjoy the crack..
I realised the other week I was just riding by myself most of the time, or getting into dices with R1s

Haha there's nothing wrong with that. It's all about enjoying yourself and learning. Can't exactally chat when riding lol

One reason I think I have enjoyed track days in the past has been going with my brother. We're very similar speed round all the circuits we've done. He's faster in some corners, me in others. We push each other to go faster and between sessions can talk about how each other can improve some bits.AMCQ46 wrote:Yes, I was thinking I need to try a bit more sociable riding and hang back with the forum group to enjoy the crack..

I dont think I would have had kept going if he hadnt been coming with me. It's no fun riding solo, last time at donington he had a near miss on session 3, so was really slow rest of day, kind of killed it for us both.
Then again Al, it's also no fun hanging back waiting. Inters will be the way forward this time. It'll give you more of a challenge.

I think most of us would be close in speed if we rode together and learned off each other. Watching lloydies footage you can see he is building up gently for the first few laps to make sure his tyres are warm then going nice and fast, whereas I was ramping the speed up earlier.
Would have been more fun if I had run together like we do on the road

I completely agree with the comments on speed though. I didn't learn ought from dodging slow traffic but learnt loads sticking with the faster bikes.

I think those of us that have booked are in the inters and those thinking of booking will be going for inters too.

You're confident it'll be dry then?AMCQ46 wrote:booked into inters now
I was going to book on Wednesday when it'll be more certain. My bro still not 100% sure he's coming yet, even if it's dry.
I really hope it is dry. Want to do another day before winter.
