Ok. i'm intrigued..... presumably it's green for up & red for down. Am i correct in assuming you still need to use the clutch?

(i've heard of these things but never seen one fitted)....

How much was it fitted? (just out of interest, as i know someone who lost an arm last year, was wondering if it could be of use. He lost his left arm, so not able to use a clutch, but the switches could be fitted to the right side.

Well im sure it can be fitted to the right hand side, the guys at proshift are sound and have ways of overcoming things like that. The guy who owns it has his left leg missing too! And yes no clutch only on take off and stopping. The change down can be harsh if your on a twin and you need to ease off the throttle, but on upchange just hold her open and hit green on each hit of the rev limiter, you'l be surprised how quick you go to 100+, not that i have officer

Now cost well?????
you get :
1. switch gear
2. shifter unit and link
3. control unit (black box).

fitted for between 900 and 1000 quid.
I thought it were steep but it's well worth the grin factor
And what kaz says is true theres loads of conversions on the market so anyone can ride, i saw a busa with a side car conversion in isle of mann, with two disabled riders, and it were quick too!

contact numbers for proshift are on my project page of my site, feel free to contact em.

Cheers guys. will pass this all onto him, He's not riding again yet, still recovering from numerous operations. As well as the arm, he smashed his tib, fib & femur into little pieces too (ended with a 14" titanium rod holding it together).

He's got a Scudzuki DR800, so the Twin response thing wont be a problem.
