Got the ol beast booked in for monday.. Im also having them swap over the fork internals for Rogers ones that are still in my damaged forks.the wobble was caused by a slightly knackered headrace bearing, that was catching just as the bars were turned ,you would miss it unless you moved them real slow.
the wheel bearings are being replaced also, six hours labour £260..

I'll claim my smart butt points for that one then :)

WRT 6 hours labour -tell them to fook right off

Wheel bearings - 45 mins total inc removal and refitting wheel
Strip front end to get at headstock - 40 mins inc removal of bodywork
Fit bearings - 1 hour
Reassemble - 1 hour inc cleaning the bike

To my mind thats 3.5 hours and I'm no Honda mechanic with a proper workshop and all the right tools!!
I've got an inferiority complex
But its not a very good one!

you missed out remove fork legs swap over internals and replace and thats IF the spring in the worst damaged one hasnt got a kink in it! the damping rod Will be buggered, so i ve asked them to grind down the replacement like roger did...when Teut did mine at rogers in 05 it took him 4 hours to do the forks and fit the penske ..and the six hours was an estimate it wont go over six even if they encounter problems....I really need my own garage..as Ive got C&G parts 1 and 2 motor vehicle craft studies. and im quite handy with the ol spanners..but the older i get the lazier i become
