Played with the quick shifter again. I will do a write up on it at some point, the short version though is it's a nice little toy, definitely not needed, and to use it only when going quick. Clue is in the name.

got both roadbikes out and warmed them up.
then had to go to a physio appointment to see if I was OK to drive a car......... wife was at work so I took the little Kawasaki on the basis that my knee has no pain and full range of movement and the kawker is light and would put no strain on my knee if I had to stop it failing over, and changing gear isn't exactly hard work on your knee joint.
anyway, he says I am OK to drive, so I went back to work for a rest

Good to hear your recovering well Al
Today I had a bit of a tinker. Fitted some small LED's to act as tail and brake lights. They ate not amazing but work OK. I then rerouted the front brake lines as I wasn't properly happy with them and then rebled them. That'll do for today

I like that, the minimalist look. Don't forget your number plate light though.

Forks off and packed ready to go to Roger. Knackered swingarm off and replacement nearly ready to go in. Shock swapped for nice shiny Penske. Subframe primed ready for paint. Quality day off work.

Took piggies front wheel in to get a pilot road 2 fitted that I bought part worn but proved to be shot so i had to order a new set (some brand I've never heard of but meant to be great ) worth a punt at £150 a set .
Got to go back tomorrow to have them fitted

I've only really fitted it for the odd time I'm on the road or getting to and from the track. Got full track fairings fitted at the moment.

Number plate light isn't a legal requirement on a bike!

I was feeling sorry for my bike after using it to get to work on for the last 5 weeks, so I gave the petrol tank a birthday with new tank grips and I.O.M TT tank pad... much tidier
I took my wheels off and road tripped up to Norwich on my day off and had Some Michelin Pilot Road 4's fitted, very happy with them and it's great to NOT have to pump my bloomin' back tyre up before and after work everyday... Just need to book a trackday to scrub them in - salt free
Today I'm hoping to find out why she's back firing like a b*stard when starting from cold & requires no choke

I've currently got her idling at 2k rpm

When I pull up next to cars in traffic it must sound herrendously loud

but otherwise she'll stall. - Carb balance and a tweak on the mixture screws should sort it.

Washed it almost every week since I've been home

I hate using it on these salty roads.
