196 miles today with the wife on the bike, went to the seaside for lunch and tea, had a great ride and still able to walk. Theres a lot to be said for being comfy. 156 miles on a tankful with all the luggage so not bad. i am gelling with this bike.

The cans on the bike were Quills on the CBF but they have holes in, just on the inside. I have put the originals back on. so quiet !!!! but it seems to have a bit more midrange !!!

had a great day today, me old muckka carl came round to lend me a hand on my slightly neglected pineapple express.
we(carl) set about removing the rear cct to fix a small oil leak, i'd been living with it for two years...
whilst I sorted out lots of minor jobs and making lots of cups of coffee.
I just need to sort out an issue with the front calipers before the devon trip.
thanks for your help today buddy.......

Changed the front brake lines on The Custard...It had a 3line set with the splitter that I had put on when I started commuting on it...was wearing its std spongy origonal lines when it came to me...Anyhoo the other day I noticed that it had been rubbing on the clock bracket, prob only on full lock but it was right where the hose joined the block.
It had chaffed through the braided outer & it was only a matter of time that the rubber hose was cut through...
Trying to save time I did it with the fairing on...Top Tip take the fairing off...it might be a faff taking it off but it's much easy to sort your lines out with it not in the bloody way...

So glad to see his happening again Marty! As in, Carl getting stuck into things on your bike

Was very worried we'd not see this again

Another 200 miles on the CBF, still getting surprised by this bike, It is so comfy and continue to amaze me with the basic but more than acceptable road holding and handling. I followed a Guy today on an SX1000 kwak, not sure if he was trying 100% but he didn't lose me at all. He kept pulling away but i caught up in the bends. I am loving the Pilot Tyres too. oh and 44 mpg today so very good. The higher screen looks odd but bugger its effective.
