I may well do that marty. Will probably try and fit it in next month. Struggling to get a pretty sprocket at the minute. Would quite like a supersprox but 50 quid I do not have. Pretty sure the one on the bike is quite decent but it's just standard. Maybe after a bit of a clean it'll look nicer.

Been looking at them and that's the last I bought but never fitted then sold. Do they not last less time? I like the look of them and 35 quid isn't too bad.

I am still debating what Rear shock to buy, Feck I've looked at bloody loads.
Nitron, Wilbers, Hyperpro and Ohlins. No Remote preload but a reasonable make.

I'm vey pleased with the Penske shock mate. I rebuilt it with a weighted for me spring which was supplied by Spa design (they carry all the spares for Penske). Harris re-gassed it for me, all good. Jamie had a Penske on his bike as does Chris ( Sirch ) I believe.

They are hard anodised sprockets, last longer than the normal aluminium ones but not as long as Steel sprockets. They should last the life of a chain though depending on maintenance.

Have you checked out the Talon stuff. iv used them for 20 years and never had a problem.

Renthal last pretty long, and is about 0.8 kg lighter what is quite a lot for rotating mass. For me it is worth to use Alu sprocket.

Ordered My Ohlins shock and Fork internals, thank feck i made a decision Thanks for all your advise guys. In the end i wanted something with a yellow spring Hey should i spray the wheels "Yellow" this time?
once they are here its wheels off, tyres off, forks and spring out job. Lube up and if required replace the bearings etc and a good grease up. Cant chuffin wait.

Also.....wife told me I could spend some money on new rubber! And not the dirty kind so grabbed a pair if Bridgestone Bt016.

Scraped rust off the commuter 600's chain, stripped and cleaned the fur off the rear caliper. Got the piston sliding again.
But it's too cold to clean it, so out put it away again.
Don't need it until Feb 2 anyway.

Also fired up the 2 and ran it up to fan-on.
It has a lithium battery but hasn't been fired up for a month, but fired straight away- quite impressive, really.

I'm not missing riding at all, given the state of the roads.

Iam still riding Tony, 40 miles and then 2 hrs washing!!!. + you can't really Hoon it in this weather. Skiing soon so no more riding just in case!!!. Wheels are due to come off very soon.

Started breaking one of my engines. Heads off and both engine covers.

Not exactly mechanical genius level but it's the deepest I've ever been into an engine. Doesn't seem very difficult so far.
