I pick up some more bits for the engine from honda today and have a 3 week wait for the remaining crank shells :-( so I hope to get the engine build under way at the start of February .

I often find that main dealers quote a long lead time then parts arrive in a week or so.

Ask your dealer to search worldwide, not just European.
Parts like shells are often in stock in Japan stores.

Lastly check other models using the same parts- sometimes they are stored and labelled as VTR bits when they (for example) also fit Blackbirds or other range models.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I will order oem parts on japan.webike.net

Price is about 2/3 after tax and duty compared to EU.

Lloydie's track vtr (miss piggy)

Post by lloydie »

It is with deep regret that I have decided to stop this project build as space ,time and money and also interest has all gone .
Over the last month I planned to sell up and change to a rsv but the morning before a buyer was to take kermit away to a new home my heart sunk and I had to cancel the sale . I just couldn't do it and this has led me to this .
My plan is to now turn kermit into a track bike and use it for both road and track use .
I will be selling off the bits I brought for this project over the next few weeks so keep an eye on the sales thread .
I will be keeping some parts for when I come off like panels and rads and front sub frame but all the rest can go .
Sorry to all that was hoping to see this project finished ,
On the bright side kermit will become a super frog !!!
