Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Been a bit busy lately as I was offered some production and recording work with a deal too good to pass up....but that is another story
I have been gathering the rest of the bits needed for the Stg 1 engine build when the weather turns but did get a few things in the mail.....

The bike has been in "stealth" mode for quite a few years now so time for a few minor changes...

First remove a few bits ...

Then add the second flo-commander as I have to deal with pretty massive altitude changes......

Then add the, if you squint it kinda looks like Edwards SP2 body work.....

The new fender and the Air-Tech hugger should get here this week and the package from Carbonadi is on its way also

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
So a while back I had a weepy clutch slave, was kindly sent a replacement by Old Master Kev, which for then I put in stock, as a quick fix I nicked one off another bike, I had laying around...
Anyhoo that started weeping as well so over the weekend I dug out the Kev one supplied & before fitting thought I'd give it a once over as you do...
Turns out it was a bit grobby on the piston & the seal on the front was a bit crusty. So I fully stripped, cleaned & put a new seal kit on with a new spring.
Made a new gasket, fitted on, flushed the hose with brake cleaner & bled it up...Took a while despite reverse bleeding & cracking the master banjo, ended up with a nice firm leaver...Happy bunny.
Any way I rode it in to work today & it's not just new fluid as it wasn't that old but I noticed a much better gear change, less clunky even the thunk into first is less... Happier Bunny...
So if your Storm is a clunk monster on the gear shift try a new slave seal kit see if it helps...

I’ve never been a castrol Honda fan but I can sure appreciate a well turned out motorcycle when I see one.
Nicely done Mike. I’ll bet she handle a treat

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Started to build an Ark
Not before fitting some bar risers though
Thinking maybe I should have fitted an outboard motor

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Fitted new chain and sprockets.
Went to 43 on the rear.
Only went for a short ride and so far so good.
It felt peppier than standard gearing
Going for a longer ride tomorrow.
Will see how it goes but the bike was better in 6th gear by the feel of it.
Looks like a speedo healer is needed.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
In the past week Custurd has developed a nice pop/bang on any decel, nice in a fruity sort of way but obviously an air leak somewhere...
Had a look today, think I may have found the issue...

Rear downpipe to header join...
Put a new one on, find out tomorrow if it's blown the gasket as well...
Meanwhile on Thursday, heading back to the yard at the end of the day, 20mph zone over a speed cushion...
Had a slight deflation...

Stupid thing is we are not alowed to change a wheel ourselves, some H&S baldrocks, so I had to wait for the mobile tyre fitter to come out...
Highlight of the wait, I was stopped just outside a pub & some very drunk man decided he wanted to talk to me, bearing in mine this is just gone 2o/c...
Basicaly he had been thrown out for fighting & barred from the pub he's been drinking in for 20 odd years...
South London you got to love it...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Rode mine to Hastings to collect my bike jacket that I left hanging in the hotel wardrobe an hour earlier....
Ah, well, nice day for it apart from the Sunday drivers.
Stopped off at the 1066 caff for a bacon sarnie to cheer mesel up.

It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
