Bit of prep for Fridays visit to PDQ:
Fitted another rear velocity stack to front cylinder, added filter to the lid, I was going to check my needles but it was too dark in my shed

It`s all about tuning; I have been running this set-up for a few years now and, while it took time to get it sorted, it runs perfectly well now (no burbles or flat sports anywhere and it pulls like a banshee regardless of rpm).

I took the VFR out for a quick spin yesterday and it was horrible into turns. A quick check of the head bearings this morning and it's notchy off the center position. Might have to replace the bearings before I head to Austria on it. :(

Custard got a new indi bulb, kicked the tyres & checked the oil...

Later in the day did a C&S swop on Numpty Kirons CB125...

New chain had a split link not rivets. The old one possibly the origonal was hanging off the sprocket it was so worn.

Cut it off with bolt croppers...

Strange fixing on the front sprocket, two small bolts holding a plate to the sprocket which sits in a groove in the spline, still has loads of play in it when on...

Booked it in at bike tech again grrrrr
Seems head bearings are loose. Bike shakes it’s head when letting go of the bars. So have booked it in. Hopefully they have just gone slack but new head bearings otherwise. While it’s in.... full service with all fluids changed and a one tooth larger rear sprocket fitted.
The bill will be interesting  worse thing.... 3 weeks before they can fit in :(

Thats a standard fitment for smaller Honda's, the small plate has spline cutouts out of alignment with the splines when bolted onto the sprocket, so it can't come off.

The sprocket can also self-align. Looks bad but works well enough.

I am sure it would be good but as I had running issues anyway, I thought that getting the bike running right without spending a fortune on dyno time was my best option. (I an up to my neck in house renovations so get very little time for fun stuff) I wanted to get the bike right for Cadwell Pk in Sept!
It's sorted now :D
