Added 3 30mm spacers under the instrument pod. What with having the VFR bars, just seemed to be to far away. They are brass, so etch primed them, then satin black. Fitted with washers between the spaces and the pod. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M6-x-30-mm-8 ... 2749.l2649.
I to had to look for Transalps on eBay, and there are non.

Today Custurd go fresh oil n fillter...

& swapped the callipers over for a refreshed set, good job I did it today the pads were well low... :eek2

Last refurb I fitted some SBS road pads, they are the best pads I've ever had in there awesome stopping power & great feel... but thay have taken a hammering & have only lasted since the last swap which was probably last Autumn, but then I havent been putting as many miles on it what with Lockdown... So will keep an eye on these.

Did the bobbins whilst I was there as well.

Next job on the list...Shock linkage swap...

Boxed it all up, had a tidy & got the grass (lowered the weeds if I'm honest... ) before the rain started...

I will clean & refurb the callipers that came off & have them ready for the swap in the Spring.

Punishing weather in West Mids also.

Promising for tomorrow & Sunday, & possibly Monday too. Perhaps we should make the most of it. I see latest reports of Covid's 'R' rating hovering around 0.9 - 1.1. As '1' is the trigger for re-evaluation I think we might be heading for further restrictions, despite the contradictory events of schools returning and govt encouraging workers back to offices.

USA (in particular) has had a massive recurrence of infection that might be due to all the congregations for demonstrations.

Custurd got the clean I promised...

Then set about Rusty the Storm with various pry bars, hammers, screwdrivers & even a spanner...

Had a fight to get the seat off, I won in the end...

Stuck a battery on it to check milage 37500 ish none of which have been done in the past 10 years...

The fule cap would not open with the key supplied, tride a few things to get it open but in the end I levered the feker off, bit of damage to the tank but only the inner rim, cap is now residing in the scrap bin...

Damage irellivent as the tank is rusty as fek in side...

Then it started bloody raining again...so gave up, packed up, locked up...

Anyone want to buy a snapped in half seat ?

Poor Rusty. I truly hope you can at least recover costs on it. Perhaps the motor's worthwhile re-working as a good spare. Bit of head work, ports and valve seats and could even be saleable?
