Man how I hate rusty old stuff!
Front center studs on the RD350YPVS case were rusty and fitting sleeves screwed up.
Usual methods for removing failed, so welded a nut on each stud. Tried the first with the rattle gun - not a good idea. It broke off immediately.
Tried the second one with a spanner and an old RD stanchion as an elongation which worked as intended.
After welding a second nut on the first stud the above method was strong enough to separate the nut from the stud...
So I tried a third run of welding and wrenching which finally worked.
I wasn't really surprised that one of the fitting sleeves was stuck, too. So I welded a washer on the upper edge and got it off with a chisel.
I guess I'll leave the other 6 studs as is....

Nice that Al, the bike and the scenery, whereabouts was that?

I put some handguards, a cheap screen and an exhaust hanger (so I could remove the pillion peg hangers) on the lil Duke and started running her in.

Hi Mav, Top picture is Malvern, bottom picture Upton on Severn, stayed in my own county, but just went down roads I had never been down and enjoyed the views.
Had to keep stopping to clean the crap off my visor, but was good to perfectly catch the only 2hrs of sun we had here

Your little KTM looks fun
