It's forecast heavy snow for Friday. This may have to be postponed. Keep your eyes open

mmm. friday is looking grim and snow and sleet still there saturday early morning..........on the plus side the rest of Saturday is brightening up, but from a very poor start

Bugger, said I wouldn't work sat night, on the plus side I should be picking up the new forks tomorrow so can crack on with getting them changed over on sat

And to top it off, I have just spoken to the Aprilia dealer and the forks are fooked. Quite dangerously so apparently

When I asked for options, he said I'd be best getting a set 2nd hand, so it's definately not them trying to make a fast buck.

that is not good Geo how can you fook the forks on a newish bike? especially when that are that big!!! I assume that this will rule you out for Saturday?

At the moment, yes. Unless I ride up on the SM (which I could do I suppose!) although it wont be the same. Hopefully the show will go on if I can't make it?. I'll set up another for next month anyway I think.

Apparently they are badly corroded to the point of there being a hole. wtf? As I say I haven't seen them yet. I knew there was some corrosion at the point where the bottom yoke grabs them, but it didn't look too bad.

the forecast has improved hope it sticks to it ! I've been looking forward to this for ages + i think i've got 2 or 3 mates joining me too

I shall be prepared for showers, i've ridden in a 7hr downpour before in wales and reached an all time low in my riding experiences, just a bit wary now !

You may just be better off going for it as I heard the other day that the Met office has predicted Arctic weather and snow throughout April. So wont be improving just yet.

I'm still hanging on in there, hoping to go, but I can't see it happening with heavy snow forecast for Friday.
