I would need a god squeeze to tell for definite, but it probably isn't pus, it's probably just dead white skin and it will drop off in a few days.
Budget storm gradually on the road to spangliness.

If it were me I'd heat up a needle to steralize it and then pierce it.mattycoops43 wrote:I would need a god squeeze to tell for definite, but it probably isn't pus, it's probably just dead white skin and it will drop off in a few days.

Re: Latest breaking bones news...
So I have had a couple of sessions of phyiso this week & Mr Wristy the non twist wrist, it is moving a little better & a little further...but still has a long way to go...
As you can see it has a nice ''dinner fork'' shape to it which may or may not reduce over time. The main problem, apart from being misshapen...
,is that the muscles have shrunken back & tightened up. So I have very little grip force, so can't pull/squeeze the break lever, as well as other vital right handed jobs one would normally do*...
Also there is no movement in the direction required to twist the throttle or to throttle anything else ...
Also as you can see, me carbuncle from the K wire has shrunk to about half the size & dried out nicely, dressing is staying off now & despite being advised not to pick it...I caught it today & ripped the scab clean off...it didn't weep or bleed so all is good on the carbuncle front.
* You smutty buggers, I know what your thinking...
...I'm talking paper work after no 2's, that's still a left handed operation...

Your whole wrist is on the piss. I thought the idea of plates, screws and wot not, was to straighten it all out so it heels in the right position. Or is that still mostly swelling.

Two planks and a vice will straighten your wonky wrist in a jiffy.
Sure it's not the titanium bridgework causing the hump ??

maybe they fitted Lorenzo's damaged plate from his collar bone, that was supposed to be bent like that.

No the plate is along the bottom of the radius bone, the incision is along me palm & up me arm.

Doesn't look as mankey now, just another excuse to post a gory pic for Carl...

Re: Latest breaking bones news...
It looks like that because the wrist is still '' Subluxed'' dislocated in other words, physio reckons that it will/may sort it self out in time & physio. Yes it is swollen & apparently it may stay like that for some time, it's all to do with the muscles shrinking due to lack of use...cybercarl wrote:Your whole wrist is on the piss. Re: Latest breaking bones news...
So 3 weeks out of the cast, daily exercises & twice weekly physio sessions...
This is the extent of 'natural' movement in Mr Wristy the Non Twist Wrist...It will obviously move further with a little help, it's about as much again but no photo as I only have two hands...
You will notice that the nice carbuncle I had has almost gone, more or less a little scar now.
Still have very little strength in the right hand & one of the strange things is that my thumb wont straighten...so I'm buggered with me Fonz impressions now...

When I go back to see the consultant I midnight ask for a hand transplant...from a ''realistic gripping hands Action Man'' it should be better than the one I've got now...

Re: Latest breaking bones news...
good stuff mac
oops, sorry realise you can't do that
only time I fainted was when I was a nipper and had one of those carbuncle things on my back. My dad became an on the spot surgeon and cut it out with a scalpel and then tipped surgical spirit in the crater. It either was a very silly and painful thing to do, or I have a very low pain threshold

hi mac
i have had similar break to my wrist and ops to fix it all i can say is get that moving back and forward,
to have a good grip you need to be able to bend your wrist back the farther it goes back the better your grip will be i'm afraid you'll have to be working on it every day
chin up old chap and good luck
