All day yesterday & it started at OOOOHHHH 7 BLOODY HUNDRED this morning !

that's true Carl. It was mentioned somewhere in some dubious study no doubt, that the 70's were when people were happiest. Odd, that the country was heading to the dogs economicaly, yet people still lived in communities where a lot of people knew each other, families lived closer together, there was a sense of structure to a week, Sundays were days of rest, not frigging shopping, people didn't constantly want more of everything, and a lot of all generations knew the value of a lot of things and the price of wombles all, aside from oil.cybercarl wrote:Yes, long gone are the days of Sundays being a day off. And most shops used to be only open for half days on Saturdays. They expect people to their ball off for more than an 8 hour day and for 6-7 days a week these days for crap money and have no rest days or family timeNo wonder the country is going downhill.
