If I can help with any of the recovery stuff this is my patch. Having bitter personal experience, it's now my job to fix the painful stuff after the operations, though folks don't usually hear about me until years after the event.
It's a really physical therapy, I pummel things back into action. Have a read of testimonials to get the idea. Plenty of bikers on the books recently.

That's very interesting Rin...You kept that one quiet.

There are plenty of knackered bones & joints on this forum to keep you busy for a few years...

Have you had a read through this thread from the start to see the extent of the damage ?

At the moment I don't really have pain in the injury from day to day, yeah it aches abit in the mornings & hurts if I over do it. the main problem is lack of movement. It's badly 'subluxed' into a 'dinner fork deformity' as can be seen here, taken yesterday...

The main issue at the moment is lack of strength, grip strength is quite poor but is improving slowly.

Having had a read through your sight I can tell you...I smoke & my diet is crap...

Same here, I also don't drink loads of water unless you count what goes into strong Coffee, and it wont be changing in the near future. But but all those things being bad for you is common sense really, a bit like doing exercise and keeping fit. I would rather take a few years off my life and die younger than sacrifice some enjoyments in life.

I also had a good read through your site. I have a Ti bar going through my Fema, Knee wont bend more than roughly 45 degrees to a little more depending on weather and how flexible it is at the time, and my ankle was also hanging by a thread. I'm lucky the surgeons saved it and it never got fused :eek2

What I found interesting is how you mention the heat attracting blood flow and Oxygen to the area. One of the first things I do when I get home after getting off the bike in cold wet weather and needing to thaw out is put my laptop on my lap, specifically knee area as it's soothes the pain. I also think the radiation emitted from the wireless network card has an effect on things. Sometimes I can feel it penetrating the body.

I also found your self massage for knees in the PDF interesting as those techniques are similar to what I naturally do when I get aches and pains. Especially the clenched fist and circular movements/manipulation and the palm of the hand pushing down the length of the leg and pushing down on top of the knee/patella. I have no fluid left under the patella and it's bone against bone. I was told I would need a knee replacement in later years.

Can I ask what are your thoughts on other alternative therapy's like Acupuncture are. And I've got say I'm disappointed that your London treatment prices are so high. It would be nice if you also had premises in a cheaper part of town aiming at a different clientele  Do we get forum discounts.

Have been discharged from Physio today.

Movement in wrist is about as good as it's gonna get.

Just a matter of building up a bit more strength in the grip which I can do meself with lots of exercises with various physio toys.

Looks like I'll be going back to work at the beginning of next month...better get the bike finished then...

Do you use a gym at all Mac? There's a few exercises you can do to help with mobility & strength.

Silly me, I retract my statement. It's a marvel you manage to maintain that physique without resorting to a Gym! Do you follow the AA Atlas system?

That's what I thought on your last visit Mac.
Are you still attending Physio. I have a feeling they will start weaning you out of the system now as you come to terms with the way it is. It will most likely just be a case of building up strength in it. But as far as movement goes only time will tell.
Oh well getting back to work will most likely help physically and mentally, well....maybe not mentally  I expect we will get less crap jokes now as well.
