BIKE SHOW AT ALLY PALLY Waste of time , Waste of money (£15 entrance fee) Had to go in the car, (Don't ask) Small show was only in one hall, pushed the boat out and got round in just over the hour, stunt show not bad due to the very small display area, highlights of the day car parking was free :D :D :D , and it pissed with rain on the way home

Got into work, opened up the Macbook to see that it has 0% battery. I rush for the charging cable but was too late, so I spent 20 minutes twiddling my thumbs while it charges to 10% so I can turn it back on...

And now the (very annoying) HDD is refusing to register on the macbook again so I can't access my development machine and finish off the latest patch for my baby :(

And my card wouldn't register at the Petrol station when I wanted to pay at the pump, waahhh

All this week the automatic fog horns have been going off...

This morning the fog has lifted & they are not sounding...Hoorah !

A neighbour 4 doors down chooses this morning to pump up a tyre with one of those little compressors & also chooses to slam every door on the car several times at half past bloody 5 ! Grrrrr!

So I'm awake & up might as well stay up as there's only another 40 mins before the pile driving starts...

I will swap you with the Westland Heliport and flightpaths that fly right over your house. First plane goes over at about 4.30. I use it as a clock sometimes as it's my calling card to get some sleep. Oh and you can have the pigs in space from the muppets in their helicopter circling around with their great big search light.

No Thanks Carl its bad enough with the change of flight path for Southend airport which now comes in over Grain.

The occasional huge explosion from the boys at the Royal Engineers training school who's range is over the back ...

Found out today that the bloke who does nights at our place has handed in his notice and now my hours are going to be changing and that I will be needed every Monday till they can replace him :x already do 10hours a day, 5 days a week and Monday mornings when needed which I don't mind but now Monday every week plus maybe longer days the rest of the week or a complete change :? It certainly won't work out in my favour I know that much. Yes OK I'll get more money but at what cost? I already don't see the missus enough, which I get reminded about regularly. I know it should only be until they find someone else but it took 3 months before I turned up from the last guy leaving. With this being a night shift I dare say it will take longer to find someone. Not looking forward to tomorrow when I'm supposed to be sitting down with the boss to find out what he wants to happen.

I bought an engine and frame 0n the 13th of sept, sent the logbook off straight away, I got the logbook back a couple of days ago, this morning being the 1st of the month, I go to sorn the bike, which is ok, but i'm told I might be fined because theres a gap between sorn dates.....ffs
I've only just got the logbook back from them, was I supposed to sorn the bike before sending the new keeper section off to them... :confused :confused :confused

That's a wonker . Wasn't it already on sorn ?

I know there is a form you can download and print off , fill it in and sorn it at the same time as sending the v5 off and it's the only way it can be done if the v5 isn't in your name .
But surly as this isn't a well published About this form you could contest the charge and tell them the v5 was sent within a hour of taking ownership and once it returned you took the first available opportunity to register it on sorn .

Don't like the DVLA fooking sheep shaggers !! :)

But surly this was from the previous owner. When did the SORN run out. Are they referring to a gap between the last and current SORN. :confused

They we'll be referring to the gap between taking ownership to declaring sorn (two weeks ) .
They do state the currant sorn isn't transferable to the new owner and one should be applied for at the same time as sending the v5 off . But where it's gets me is the previous owner is meant to send off the v5 so how is the new owner meant to download and print the form and send them together .

Having air puffed into your eyes at an eye test...

Ok it's not really annoyed me today but it's not something I really look forward to having done...

What does annoy me is the amount they charge to re-glaze (their term... ) a pair of specs. It works out cheaper to buy a new pair... :confused
