Ideally I'm after something with less than 20k miles (15k ideally) on it because I plan to keep it a good while. Preferably 1 or 2 owners (including current owner). Full service history. Excellent condition.

Any colour but yellow, teal or that flouro horrible thing I linked to in another thread :D

Not keen on bikes which have been modded a lot. Painted wheels are a definite no no but I suppose I could strip them. I've just never taken on a vehicle which I planned to alter, in any way.

So far I havent managed to spot anything matching my "requirements" unless I spend 3k+ which I'd be willing to do, but it seems like dealers are just adding on 25-50%, a high premium considering we're only talking 3 months warranty. Everyone says I should be able to get something for under 2k, just cant seem to spot a good one, yet.

Mine is a 2003(53) 12,000 when I got it, blue & clean, 3 previous owners and £2000. they do come up. Ironically mine was in York. I was looking for a few months before this one showed up though.

I took possession of a single owner, 99 Super Hawk, with only 1100 miles for $3700 USD, that's about $2600 EUR. Yellow isn't my first choice either, but for that price in that condition, I can learn to like it!!ImageImage

Well guys, I bought one. Hope I did the right thing....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... fresh=true

Guy says he will include a new (to him) set of header pipes and rearsets and assorted other bits. Doesnt seem like a bad deal to me...I'd think, given the bits on it, that it'd break for about 1.2k....?

I foresee some time in the garage cleaning the carbs out. No idea what I'm doing but hopefully it wont explode :D
