Had a XT600 for a couple of years and the starter motor was knacker when I bought it. Lasted a month before I got it fixed. To be fair I was using it every day!
You should post a video of trying to start it when its hot, should be a good laugh

OK men got the bike running a little while back but when revving the bike back fires pretty bad and the exhaust goes red hot
i found that the inlet rubbers had perished so got some new rubbers and installed today only to find that their was no change
have you men any ideas as to the cause or what to look for
theirs an auto decompresser which works in tandem with the kick start would it be stuck open a little ?
