Nooooooo lol I liked Knightrider as a kid but wasn't that big of fan. You would be surprised how many folk have said to me over the years 'paint it black' No can do... my model is a rarity and was only produced in white, got to keep her original. Wouldn't mind a tatty standard Trans Am though with a nice matt black paint job for a daily runner. If I was going to make it talk... I rekon I could think of a few more colourful phrases for it to say

American car discussions aside, thanks everyone for your input. I'll have a think about what I want to do with it. I've got a mate with £900 in his hand waiting to buy it as it is, but I'll be really sad to see it go
Also, I did a trackday at Castle Combe last wednesday and it's got me thinking about what this bike is capable of in that capacity...

FWIW I've sorted the charging problem now. I thought it was a fried reg/rec but it was a bad crimp on the -ve wire going to the reg/rec.
Also the mileage is 45493, not 47k.

Why would a storm engine be dead by 85K?, most I4's are still going at 100,000 miles and still got that left in them.
