I went out on the push "bike" with a couple of guys, snow and wind and wombles cold, and notched up my longest ride to date - 48 miles at an avg of 15mph. Totally chuffed with that

well if you dont get on with them i will buy them off yabigspanishmarty wrote:got them from kev who got them from ebay, i'm not 100% on them tho, they're a little bit big for my scorpian oval cans, i've had to fit the backing rubbers to them to make them fit better, and this in turn takes away from the beautiful carboness of it all....whitestorm pete wrote:they are super nice marty where did you get them?![]()
tbh they still look better than the s/s ones.
when it stops raining i'll post some pictures of them on the bike...
me and carl got some more work down on my second bike today, we swapped the bent front wheel and tyre for a straight wheel and tyre, sorted out the wiring to the rear brake light and fitted the aforementioned c/f hangers, but it was ferking freezing and i had to be a taxi driver for my nan, so we called it a day early, we didn't get a chance to fit carls spare lhs original rearset(carl forgot to bring his ratchet....![]()

we also didn't get round to tinkering with the steering lock issue, or fit the original bikini bellypan, i just wish this weather would pick up its pissing me right off atm.....
nah, got no room in my nans garden, i could turf out her mobility scooter and use that shed tho.....whitestorm pete wrote:tar geezacould u put a shed up or something where you are ?
probably mate, and i could also glue it to the carbon fibre, they still don't fit that well against the cans, i'll have to gauge if theres any movement with the vibration of the exhaust?BigVeeGrin wrote:can you trim the rubber so it sits under the carbon only???

Bracket piclloydiecbr wrote:It's all fitted nowlloydiecbr wrote:Started to retro fit the sp1 oil cooler today .
I'm using cbr600fl 1990 oil lines as they have the correct fitting where it meets the oil cooler .
So I removed the fittings from some spare vtr oil lines
As the cbr oil lines are a lot longer than the vtr I can cut them down to size once fitted
Next up is to make a little hanging bracket for the oil cooler to bolt onto the frame
Watch this space !
Now time for a good clean and polish oh and new coolant !
