And tinkered with my carbs again
Upped the mains to 178 front and 180 rear. I also changed the front emulsion tube to a spare rear one I had and richened the mixture by a 1/4 turn out on each carb. yes I know I should only do one change at a time but I don't do anything by the book.

I also replaced the foam filters in the corners of the airbox.
The slight carb cough/stutter I had at around 3-4 thousand revs has now gone and my idle is smoother. I'm getting close to the point now where it's ready for a dyno run.

Just a Q ref your carb set up. I see you are using the FP 1.1 Ti kit. Now because you say you have gone for 178 and 180 mains, I assume that was in your kit and you haven't added afterwards? Only reason I say this is my FP 1.7 kit has supplied 172, 180, 182 and 185s - so no 178s?
Anyway, I have messaged LeeVTR to see if he can get his BMC filter over to me asap (before Weds am, ie by tomorrow) and Ill use that not my K&N for tuning Weds am, then I will try sell my K&N.
Hope all ok. Griff

FP don't supply either a 175 or 178 as these are the standard mains that come with the bike. As FP use the same jets as Keihin these can be used if required.
The 1.1 TI kit come with x1 each 172, (175, 178 are stock for use) 180, 182, 185, 188
And your 1.7 RK kit comes with x1 each 172, (175, 178 are stock for use) 180, 182, 185 interestingly there is no 188. I don't know why.

they do suffer from gunky eyes don't they mate. you are obviously very comfortable with your sexuality lloydie, most men would want anyone to know they own and walk a dog as girlie as this, do you carry it in your handbag....

i also ventured outside this morning to clean a few bike parts, then it started snowing and i thought ferk this for a game of soldiers and retreated back indoors with very cold hands....
