Yes I experienced clutch slip when I tried fully synthetic under hard starts from the lights

You may be right about gunning it from standstill, can't say I've noticed then again it'll put you on youre butt in first and second anyway ,fully synth makes gear change better and revs way quicker .just like the idea of the protection been using it for a while now .

I use that oil too. Seems to be good stuff. When I change it I will be using it again. Always keep a little 1l can to top up. Mine used a bit of oil last year (lots of mileage) dont think it would be considered excessive.

This morning while the sun was beaming I thought I would give mine a polish and see if I can start to bring my cans back to life. Anyone who has seen my bike will know these are letting the bike down somewhat. Holts chrome and alimunium polish seems to be working. Still got a long way to go now though to get them back, if they will come all the way back.

As you can see from that closer pic of the exhaust there is a far bit of age related damage to try to clean out. May end up needed new cans :(
How far gone can exhausts be and you can still bring them back to life?

ck get some of this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130769446482? ... 1423.l2649
remove the cans and give them a good clean and polish .
they will come up like new . this polish also adds a film over the ali that protects it and makes the finish last longer
