If i do anything, it will be to change chain and sprockets, im assuming thats possible?

If you can't get anyone to bring one, I have one you can borrow. I won't be attending as I am away but I am sure Marty will pick it up.

Ball hammer or centre punch is good for riveting, with another hammer or brick behind to take the kick from the hammer.

Every time I have used one of those cheaper 40-60 quid chain tools, the pin on them has always bent under the tension. Unless you have a Whale tool or equivalent, the type that is designed to be hit with hammer then I would not bother with the cheapo chain tools. They are OK for removing pins and links though. But in my experience not riveting.

The one I have is a Motrax one and I have found it to work well. The pins haven't bent when extracting the links, and the ball and anvil attachments which are used for the rivetting are both flat, without any pins, so nothing to bend there. I have used it on my old FZR and on the storm with no problems and the completed pin is splayed sufficiently to hold it in place without it being overly compressed to create a tight spot, which would be my concern when using "two big hammers".

That sounds like a gooden Kev, it's not the link extracting that is of concern but the riveting, but as yours is not the pin type all should be good. And I agree with the Hammer it can overly compress, just got to be gentle.

Now's where's my fish smilie that slaps one round the face with a wet fish. :lol:

Take the left footpeg hanger off to remove old endless chain, and rivet* the new chain off the bike prior to slipping it back on.

*All you need is a pin hammer and something to use as an anvil i.e a vice or sumfink. No special tools needed.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Don't work for me due to the braced arm. :thumbup:

I've never bought one my local shop more or less fits the chain and sprockets for me for next to nothing when I get the stuff them so I never thought about buying a riverter.
