bigspanishmarty wrote:update on macv2's condition. me and carl went to see mac today, he's in good spirits and waiting for his operation, unfortunately its already been put back and it won't happen today. both of his arms are out of action and he's worried he won't be able to have a tommy tank for at least 6 weeks...
as you can imagine he's more worried about his bike than himself, all he can remember is a car stopped suddenly infront of a people carrier, which he was following. he's got a big crack in his crash helmet just below the right side of his visor, so he must of give a fair whack.
he cheered up when he heard that everyone was thinking of him and the offers of parts were greatly appreciated.
me and carl reckon he'll be in for a little while yet tho. and al mac has no recolection of the £20.....
and to make matters worse, the old boy in the bed next to him snores like a good'un so he didn't get much sleep last night. on the up side, all the nurses are pretty and as we left he was about to get a bed bath....
keep up the well wishes guys, oh and he's in the daycare ward, at first we thought that was the kiddy section, how wrong would that be... :eek2
Thanks for the update

Awful news. How did he run intothe back of a car? Did it pull out on him?

I think it was a domino effect from the car furthest up ahead slamming on the brakes. Braking distances. always remember the 2 sec rule or is it 4

Heres wishing him well and a speedy recovery, I don't know him of course but he's a fellow biker and storm rider so that's enough to make us all wish him the best!

It's not too bad:

Not too good from this angle, though....

Mostly cosmetic, but this little hole might be a problem......

Nothing a little polish can't fix, surely?
Maybe a wax as well?

Best to start planning now what bits need taking off/swapping over before the insurance get their grubby hands on it. Cans, shock, hugger.
