That what I was saying to arkrite tonight the standard reworked forks are good and up to the job .
Miss piggy will only get used a few times a year and I ain't no cal so no need for ohlins :-) and it has to be done very cheap I might even only put a standard engine in it for the first year .
Still plenty of time to decide what I'm doing as kermit will be stripped down and rebuilt first (this winter ) again .

when you say stripped down, is that engine or everything?

Get sebs frame powder coated and fitted to macs engine and all kermits bits bolted on and that will finish kermit .
Then I can take the old engine and frame to a friends to chop the engine out and fit the one I rebuilt from the seized engine into the frame and the build will start to take shape very fast a month or two till I run out of parts .
It should keep me busy over this winter with plenty to do .

Well IMHO the real limiting factor with the stock front end isn't the forks but the lower triple clamp.
That is where I see most of the flex issues coming from.

It is a bit small and flimsy on the standard one

i do know of other forum members that agree with hawk, maybe a cheap fork brace will help, if i was you tho, i'd get the bike on track first and then gauge where you need to modify things.....

tbh mate, i don't think the storm/blade braced swingarm makes that much difference in ridgity, i've ridden standard/braced back to back and any difference is minimal at best, it certainly looks better being braced. use ms piggy as a test bed and see what you think, it might be worth doing each big mod at a time, then test for a difference, before moving onto the next modification.....
