nice one wicky.......

me and carl had a manic day in the snow!!!!!!!!!
took off the scorpions and original headers, we then set off to deliver them to there new owner, on the way i had to dispose of a couple of bags of household rubbish, as we get to the rotherhithe tunnel, theres a car broken down at the tunnel entrance, i get out to help, only to see the front wheel has colasped... :eek2
we managed to do a naughty manevoure and get around him, but traffic was getting very heavy. we get to the meet point, i go to get the the exhaust out of the cab, i asked carl where the open carrier bag was with the brackets,straps.spacers......he'd chucked them in the bin with the other rubbish bag...... :eek2 :eek2 :eek2
so we dropped off what we had of the exhaust and dash back to the east end, hoping that the bin men hadn't emptied the bins. luckily they hadn't and after a rumage i found the bag........phew!!!!!!!!!
at this point it was still snowing, after a cup of coffee, we set about fitting the two brothers system, all went well except we didn't have the right size clamp, i'd lost one spring and it looks like i need one of those carbon gaskets, only on one side tho....
we also refitted the front wheel with its brand new tyre, i swapped over the indicator/headlight controls. because the indi switch was playing up.
we didn't get around to swapping the rear wheel over as it was still SNOWING!!!!!!
i'm cream crackered now, shame i have to go to work........ :(
oh and the exhaust sounded very loud, and the bike ran like a bit of a pig, only because of the bad seal (wrong clamp/no gasket) when its fitted properly, i think it will sound very nice indeed, they aint really high levels, more mid to high levels. they look very good tho........ :D
thanks again carl........
when will this weather sort it self out, supposed to be 10 degree's and sunny on sunday......yeah right.....

Haven't done anything. Not allowed to remove the VTR from the shed right now, but my new headlight fairing thing arrived from BSM today. Hopefully fitting it on Sunday when I attempt the stopper mod, will post piccies then

Thanks BSM

think Carl had binned most the stuff, neat way of shortening the job list. Cans, check, clamps, check, all in the bin, check, coffee now, check

And wombles me as well Wicky, that looks sore. I sliced into the end of my typing finger and that's sore enough when the skin starts to harden off. Hope it mends quick

Damn Wicky, the black knight has nothing on you

I also literally just received my restrictor kit too. Had to get my dad to travel to the Cov delivery office but oh well, not allowed to fit it. He wants to have his fun on it beforehand. How rude, right?

Realised this morning that the stopper mod I did yesterday hadn't gone as well as I thought. I didn't put the front cylinder to TDC before removing the tensioner, so set about taking it all apart again, and the front cam cover which was a right pig to do, but was relieved to find the timing was ok and it hadn't jumped. Phew! All back together ,again!
Still can't get any socket to fit the spark plugs though, even the spanner in the tool kit doesn't seem to fit, still puzzled on that one.

Wonder if someone bought a toolkit, or part of it, from another bike?

cybercarl posted a link to the spark plug spanner he recommends and I have one of them, and that doesn't fit either. Just had a look at another post concerning iridium plugs which suggests some are 18mm. I'll try that, just want to get them out to check their condition as I don't know how long they have been in there.
