I use a cone cutter for getting the heads off rivets.
I dread to think about what the condition of my packing is. Bit they sound so good, I don't care.
(:-})
Last time I cut the rivets off an end can, they kept spinning, both with a rivet drill and a cone bit. In the end I had to cut them off with an angle grinder. Hope I have more success when I shorten Pauline's cans....

Often the case, mate.
The LH can gets more gas going through it, because of the little blanking section inside the collector.
So the packing gets blown out quicker, unless you have cut the intruding section away, then you get even pulses out of both cans.

Thought that was the case Tony.
What was the answer to the discussion on weather it was worth cutting that section out ?

leave it alone mac as removing it creates a flat spot in the revs .

going over the bike with copper slip and getting it ready to commute on .
i fitted the baffle too

i can't believe froggy is going to be a daily commuter, put lots of wax on the bike and don't get to close to other road users, you don't want to get loads of stone chips, just ask old man kev.........

Nowt wrong with a pop now & then Marty sounds good on the overrun IMO.
The link pipes are just a push fit onto the cans held with springs so I guess a bit of air can leak in that way.
TBH when it revved it kind of overloaded the microphone a bit, so the sounds a bit distorted as well.
You can also see the bits of fibre being blown out already !

me and carl were doing the exhaust today, pain in the butt, even with those gaskets, making sure you have the correct sized mikalor clamps. even then i've had to put some sealant on the joins. i took some pics of my bike with carls proper camera, i'll see if he can email them over to me so i can see them.
mac the cans sound good, i rode behind you at wickys, and when we went thru a couple of small villages your cans followed by my ti system sounded biblical bouncing off the walls .....

Actually got to ride it today! Following a few days in the garage removing the front end, resprayed the forks, carbon wrapped the fork protectors, refitted everything and got the front wheel and bars aligned after noticing last week that they were pointing in slightly different directions! All sorted and felt great, wish they would fix the roads though, they're a right state.
