well i can now say what iv been chasing, woke up and headed of before 7 this morning after a late night chat. so off i goes. 500 god dam miles later im home and busted but...

at last i got to stand infront of the man who brought my bike to Ireland,, mucho chatting and looking at parts, the engine it came here with can be struck of the list of mori tuned engines to be hunted down, its goosed, valves smashed.heads wrecked.a complete mess, even if you got it for free theres nothing left of it ,but as i have the motor i want in mine already no big shake.

but i was still missing sum parts.

spondon rear subframe and battery box.........tick
spondon front subframe............................tick
exhaust hangers......................................tick
footrests and levers..................................tick
other little odds and sods he had sitting about was put into the box aswell.

but just when i thought what a stroke of luck....the last bit in the box is a rocking horse sh1t HRC ignition box...

cue happy man :Stewy: :Stewy: :Stewy: :Stewy:

pics to follow as per forum rules

Good job  You will be surprised how much that ECU will wake up the bike and why none of us that have one will part with it 8) ..... just remember no limiter..... :eek2

Well worth the miles by the sounds of it Rob
It must have been good to meet the man in person who brought your bike to Ireland :D

Nice to get those parts as well, especially the HRC ICU 8)

I look forward to seeing the photo's,

Chris.

more than anything it was the rear subframe i wanted, the rest is a bonus..... i couldnt wait to try the ecu juet to make sure and indeed you can keep the stand down and ride off so that just confirmed it. it had never been removed from the rear of the subframe... lucky touch again. i may start doing the lottery

Good for you that is what I say :D

Yes, with your luck a lottery ticket sounds like a good idea

Now you just have to train yourself to put the stand up before you turn the key on.
It is easy to forget unless you make a new habit. Though the benefits of the ECU more than make up for the hassles.

Now we want to hear what you think the first time you go out and twist the throttle :p 8)

Wow you’ve been very busy since I last read this !!!
Great work on finding its history and the parts .
Just don’t go redlining it or you’ll be bent over without lube as the engine rebuild won’t be cheap !!!!

the ecu is the bonus :eek2 .. revs wise i wont be trying the rev limiter out or lack of. this old donkey seems happiest around the 5 to 8 k so il be keeping an eye on that...

so it really is done, well just one more box and it should be here shortly and shes ready to go...
