Had my first taste of a V-Twin... 10 miles on the way home down twisty country roads. Hehe. Me want now. It's so comfortable and stuff. Someone lend me 9k for insurance now. I will repay you

Dad came and met me after work. We left leamington and did the dual carraigeway stretch, pulled over on a country road and swapped bikes.. I know. I want to ride it so much now. That was the best thing I've ever experienced and I didn't even break the speed limit!!!
not by more than 5mph anyway..
Rode the hornet over to the local bike meet after we got home as Dad wouldn't let me use the VTR to get there as he was heading home (
no showing off
) and I never realised how little character it had and how boring it was... Not only do I have my dream bike that I love but can't ride, I have a bike I REALLY dislike now but can ride.

Riding the Hornet will make you appreciate the Storm more. Your old man is breaking you in gently as he knows what youngsters are like and don't wont you hurting yourself or the bike. He must be feeling a bit concerned as well as probably enjoying riding about on it himself.
Your time will come. But get it round to Al's and get the stop mod done

I know that, but the hornet scares me in that it's like it tries to kill me
Something always goes wrong and I don't even know if it will survive until October when I can get 1years no claims OR even if it will pass it's MOT later :S
He knows I'm sensible anyway, I'm not like my brother at all. I ride cause I enjoy it, speed is nice I admit but I don't go out of my way to speed. I'm more than content chugging along at the speed limit behind another car. No need to recklessly overtake
He dislikes the seat, it's uncomfortable apparently but I find it completely the opposite. Then again he has a Triumph and their seats are so soft.
I think I remember discussing it with lloydie at Hatton, he said he'd ride it over to Al's for a workshop day so we could sort CCT's and it'd be a much safer environment to do so. Need to order some manuals on payday as I have no idea when the workshop day will be and I'd rather do manuals than the stopper mod.

Virt, if you have no cash then the stopper mod is your best friend, I run it on both my engines.... 30,000 on each and if one does go bang I will still replace it with an auto with stopper!
I will look at sorting out a day for the workshop event, but if you are getting paranoid we can do it one evening.
But I will need the CCT key back

I'm more convinced of manuals than the stopper mod. But I guess if stoppers do break the engine will be in good enough condition that I can then stick to manuals. I'm not majorly paranoid, neither me or my dad ragged it and it has about 8k miles on it now so it should be relatively safe... And it's not being ridden that often, once or twice a month I should think, so whenever a workshop day is convenient for you is convenient for me

Any higher and I was convinced I wouldn't be able to concentrate cause I'd just focus on the sound of the bike...Mmmm... ) and it has about 8k miles on it now so it should be relatively safe... Virt the less a vtr is used the more chance the front cct will fail .
Get over to AL and get it done and don't forget he likes a tipple :-)

And couldn't do the hornet today (AGAIN
) because my brother hid away the "no one was in when your package was delivered so call us on xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx (or whatever) to rearrange it" and we only just found it today. Turned out the package we thought was brakes was my dads' Scott Oiler. So now they won't be delivered again until the 14th. Need I say I genuinely have NO front brake at all anymore? Taking the absolute piss. So angry.
