Ok

When I was having a good trawl of the entire Internet I found this. I won't pass comment on it as such but will leave it here for folks to have a look at.
The link is.....

https://m.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzei ... 8-306-1699

For those of you that cannot translate it....it says

"Hello,

I offer here a complete and tuned engine of a Honda VTR 1000 F.

The engine comes from my unfortunately accidental `97 VTR and ran up to the expansion absolutely problem-free. He had a wonderful ride and had a lot of fun.
I have dismantled the engine to determine what has been changed or installed.

The changes I know are as follows:
- Moriwaki ME98 piston installed, thus increased compression of 11.2: 1
-
connecting rod polished - inlet channels in the cylinder heads widened
- valve stem seals adapted to the inlets
- possibly harder clutch springs installed, unfortunately I can not be sure Say

The mileage of the engine is about 31,400 km, how long he ran with the tuning parts, I can not say for sure. On the basis of the original bearing shells, pistons and camshafts, I would however claim that the engine was very young.

All parts are in a good to very good condition! No chips were found in the oil, and some parts showed running but no damage. Only the outlet-side valve stem gaskets weaken somewhat.

The
following parts are missing: - Both side covers of the coupling or alternator.
- Camshaft

Wheels I would like to send more pictures of the individual parts by e-mail, still would rather be a personal inspection.

Shipping is basically possible, but due to the number and size or weight of the parts is quite expensive. The whole thing would then be clarified if necessary.

Payment by bank transfer, Paypal (+ charges), or cash upon pickup.

If you are interested in further Honda VTR 1000 F, or CB-1 parts, simply check out my other ads or ask me by email.
Andreas Hedrich"

For what it's worth I did email him to see how much he would let certain bits go for....his response was

I just thought it was worth mentioning. I've gone above and beyond and am into the bike for quite a bit so nothing like that will be happening yet.
If I save up I may just get roger ditchfield to work on it....who knows!

Price is good, as there is possibly working combination of cylinders and pistons. Porting is good too. But if you don´t combine it with longer duration (or/and highlift) camshafts, it is bit of waste of money, as power won´t be too much different from std engine. You won´t get more power without letting more air/fuel mixture into.

But If I want to built stage1 engine, I would buy it. Cylinders can be out of tolerance for using std bore JE pistons, and os pistons are much more expensive and complicated.

The bloke who had them fitted on his bike did , plus any of his mates that went riding with him.
And his neighbours, and anyone who saw it parked or spotted it when he was out riding.
Mot inspectors at his local bike shop, etc , etc.
I'd have thought a fair few people all in all.

Hope this helps.

Is that the underseat exhausts? Best post the fleabay ad in its entirety to get a better view on what we're looking at.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Having seen the fleabay ad already, I can say it won't help us workout how they are meant to fit.

Looking at the links from above they look pretty straight.. can't see how the cans would sit underneath the seat. They look like high levels to me.
