Ouch. In fairness I did go in there with the intention of getting a new phone and contract anyway ( goodbye to my hard-earned monies! I hate having a job already I miss parents paying for everything )...

And I was genuinely stuck between the HTC One and the Samsung S4... I made up my mind halfway through the conversation because I don't need speakers on a phone (so I don't need a phone that's only major USP is "we have speakers on the front")... But it's fun to intimidate people like so, I rarely get an opportunity to do so. I weigh nothing so I don't have an intimidating figure... Besides, who doesn't love a bit of Inheritance/Encapsulation/Polymorphism/Recursion or whatever programming concept you decide to bring up. ( I lie, recursion is a bitch )

I'll be glad when I can bloody do anything mate, I am so bloody bored, may be you can tell... I like to be able to wash the car, cut the grass, clean windows * anything to relive the boredom but I cant...there is only so much coffee, so much TV, so much sitting in front of a computer a man can take...I might even have to visit the bloody library soon...!

I do see a bit of tinkering as a sort of therapy for the rehabilitation of me wrist once the cast is off & I've got over the initial getting it moving thing out of the way...

* window licking does not count...I find it leaves far too many smears & unsightly marks... before you comment Kev...

Mac. I feel your (mental) pain. After my crash in Jul '11 (different form of transport) breaking 2 vertebrae and crushing a third, I was mainly bed bound for 6 weeks then limited mobility with physio for another 4.5 months.

I ended up buying my 'storm then, as well as mods, a child's balance bike which I painted & decal'd like a 'storm, a Bose sound system and god knows what else. I was broke!!

The bones can can be treated and will heal but the head is often forgotten.

Google 'Puma crash Andover' - that was me! Bugger! And no I didn't walk away!!

Likewise when I broke my left wrist falling two stories off a ladder (head and arm first) I was going stir crazy. Managed whilst in plaster to take off and lube the clutch cable on my old CBX, till I could stand the frustration no longer. A quick trim of the cast enabled me to join forefinger and thumb so I could grip and operate the clutch when I took naughty little trips into town even though I couldn't wear my jacket or gloves! Even with this risky 'physio' when the cast came off my forearm muscles after lack of use had taken on the tone of squidgey plasticine. And the first thing I did after it was cut off was go for a swim to slough off all the dead skin cheese that had accumulated under the cast.

Afterwards physio was basically putting hands in 'prayer' and lowering them back & forth to get the flexion back. The following season I was back playing cricket without any problems.

2 things (highlights):

1. First time ever that I've had to sit down on the toilet (not a posh wee!) wearing leathers! And it's quite difficult!! Can't believe I've never suffered that circumstance!!

2. Rode a bike ('13 Daytona 675) with a quick shifter and I loved it!!

not fitted it yet tho cos i cba doin awt in this heat.

i decided though, i need to make a db killer to tame it a bit otherwise i'll be spending more on fines than petrol!

found some perforated tube in the garden off some stubbies i made last year... and the metal surrounds off 2 small pressure gauges fitted perfectly, pressed on with the press at work, and buzzed a m6 nut on....
looks spot on.
fkt if im paying £37.50+vat & postage for a proper one!

took it for a blast.....was going to clean it but decided to dirty look was quite fitting for the time of year.......

Anyone else have one of these? I like the idea. Any recommended - best price/ease to fit/reliability?

Ahhh riding a more modern bike makes me so envious of these gadgets!!

Yep I have a datatool one on mine .
Works very well and relatively easy to install if you can solder .

Just been out to have another play with the brakes. Still not good, it's not the calliper I have stripped both callipers completely and rebuilt them and I'm still getting air coming out even though I have pulled loads of fluid through from the reservoir and keep topping it up. I just can't get rid of the air bubbles, it's as if it's getting back in somehow so I end up in a continuous cycle. I'm beginning to think its the MC that is faulty. I have just zip tied the lever back and leaving it for a few hours and I shall have another go later. It's really starting to piss me off know. I may end up coming to the dyno day with no front brakes. Or at best very spongy and a lever that pulls back almost to the bar. It's a good job the back brake works.
