No the akrs have a 100mm centre to centre bolt hole mounting and the storm 75mm .
It's a shame .
This is what I'm picking up Sunday

GREAT NEWS.........
we've only gone and blown the bloody doors off!!!!!!
me and carl have sorted the bikes poor running problem, it turns out it was the clutch pick up. we stripped the bike down and replaced the pick up with a spare that carlos had, a bit of a faff as the fairings, carbs, clutch cover and a few other bits had to come off.
but once done, we fired it up, let it warm up the built up the revs until bingo, it revs cleanly to 9k.........
this bike has fought us every step of the way, from a dodgy sparkplug, pinched water pipe, awkward fairing. you name it. we've put in a new clutch, which it didn't need...
swapped plugs, and front coil, which it didn't need, adjusted the carbs untold times, which it didn't need, with had the tank and airbox off more than a dozern times
but finally we got there. i'll be taking her for a test ride tomorrow morning to see how shes fuelling, we might need to make a few changes to the carbs again. i'll be doing a power run on saturday to get a base figure/starting point for the carb tuning. no more short shifting at 6k and 120mph top speeds.....
on a private road of course officer.....
happy days. a massive thankyou to my spanner man and friend carlos......
now to get the bike sold so the real fun can begin.....

Yep ignition pickup was the last electrical item in the line to test and rule out. I'm happy that is done now. Carbs have been off so many times that I can now sit on a seat with coffee and ciggie and just let the pineapple remove all the boring bits. He's been watching and learning and can even change a spark plug now...... upside down

Oh what fun and games.

Spondon rebuild Next.

your getting your bikes mixed up lloydie, we started building this one in spring 2013, and this problem could of been of our own making as we swapped the clutch over when it turned out to be a faulty sparkplug....doh!
not sure what happened to the ignition pick up and i don't see how it was our own fault, but it was the last big thing we tinkered with. the last couple of months have been one problem after another, but it looks like we've cracked it....
have fun with your ride tonight buddy....

Ground off the inner race on the steering stem. Much easier than I thought it was going to be:). Sanded down & resprayed the fork sliders. New outer races & steering stem now in the freezer for the next day or 2 until I get time to throw it back together.
