Well done Gaz, how did you get on moving from the rear to the front and did you turn the crank a few revolutions once finished to make sure everything turns over smoothly.

Just put the carbs back to standard to begin with.

Mains Front 175 Rear 178 and double check the emulsion tubes are the right way around
Needles are non adjustable
pilots 48
fuel Mixture screws 2.5 turns out front and 2 1/4 on the rear

Yeah got on we'll mate it's now 1 1/4 turns from rear to front and everything is spinning over nice and free I have checked emulsion tubes and they were correct just need the jets and will check mixture screws and hopefully it should be all good.

Will be a bit nervous when I'm pressing the start button but think its looking good.

Thank for all your help and advice.

   Excellent..... :biggrin I'm looking forward to your first post after taking it for a proper ride. As for being a bit nervous, that never leaves you. I still get a bit nervous after doing work like that and pushing the button. The only difference is that you get used to it and learn not to question yourself or abilities.

Well Keihin and FactorPro are "supposed" to be the same though DynoJet has its own numbering system, with that I personally don't mix brands and just use Keihin jets in my set up.

+1

Keihin and FactorPro are exactly the same. This is why they don't supply 175 and 178 mains in their kits and say in their instructions to use the ones in your carbs if required. But Tony already knows this, he's just getting old.

Yeh Dyno jets are your main concern as they are totally different in the sense of sizing and how they fuel your carbs. And agree that they should not be mixed with standard or non dynojet needles. This just makes things tricky to get right.

Round two of Rape Red for the good bits...

Cheers Carl ...

Long day in the sunshine, Red's forks were slightly bent but we swapped the springs over, CCT's Done, carbs swapped as well.

M.Le Drooper seems to have been owned at some stage by a gorilla who lived by the sea with a mind to over tighten every bolt & screw in sight but not bother with any cleaning ... Also seems that at some stage either the engine has been out or has been changed as the mounting bolts are a bit askew & show signs of abuse... 8O

Thanks again for all your help Carl your a star Sir...Enjoy the party tomorrow, don't eat to much jelly...
