used to be an outdoor centre in town with that on a banner
just had a result meself - next door neighbour having a garage clear out, was throwing away a load of hiking gear so i just blagged 2 excellent rucksacks and some foil blankets, folding pans, lantern and whatever else theyve piled up outside

I'm a new member, just joined last week,still trying to learn and find my way around the site.
I'm very interested in meeting up in Wales,
I live in South East Manchester not too far from Glossop,Derbyshire, from what i'm reading on the forum most of you if not all you guys are coming from the more Southern regions where as i'll be coming down from the North,
can somebody please contact me to let me know who the organiser of this ride is so i can find out more information, and if anyone else is ridding down from the North

nice part of the country you live in - some nice roads very often go for a ride around there, through kuntsford, congleton, buxom, matlock etc

I'm off to Cornwall this Saturday for 2 weeks so i'll be off the air during that time but i'll get in touch when i get back to see about putting a bit of a plan together,are you ok with me to send you a pm .
i should be able to make it ok, it's my Birthday on the 17th so it would be a nice way to spend it, don't worry about being 2 up i'll probably be the same, i've got a 10 year old son who won't let me ride anywhere without him, by the way that's not a complaint we have the most fantastic times out together

I just had a look at the campsite web page for the 1st time............to make sure it was not such a remote location

I realise that I have stayed there before when I used to go trail riding for 2 days round Rhayader.........although it was 10 yrs ago

1) it is a good site and easy walk to the pubs and chippys / shops / Boots the chemists
2) TAKE INSECT REPPELENT..........in a forest beside a river, midge heaven! we got bitten to fck last time we were there. had to take up smoking just to help drive them away! Hope we will be past the worst time of year in sept.

but there was no sheep allowed on the site, unless they ware butchered already and you were cooking them.
