Apologies for not being able to make it lads. I woke up this morning still pissed. There was no way I could ride the bike. And I wasn't feeling to clever either. Did have a good evening though, and caught up with family I haven't seen in a couple years.

Have a good day.

Thunder, lightning, and torrential rain- bikes, as it it turned out....
Th second race was won by a guy in a speedboat.

Marty got there on one cylinder, with the other one chiming in once in a while.
But checked it out on the dyno; and worked out it was a loose rear coil, sorted that, but the fuelling was off the scale too rich, so it couldn't be run. It wouldn't run over 7500 at all, lots of misfiring.
Not too good, needs the carbs setting up properly.

Duffy's reached 103.5, fuelling a bit rich, but a lovely flat torque curve.

I still like going to these races, you can go and park straight in the paddock and walk into the pits, it's like having a free access all areas pass.

Six Storms in the end, a good turnout.

Mind you, when I arrived at the meeting petrol stn, everyone got a handshake except the lady sitting with the boys, who got a hug. Turned out she wasn't with us at all, and was just waiting for her botfriend.

Ah, well, I got a hug anyway; can't be all bad.

Cheers, all
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Good day...Apart from the lovely summer weather..

Image

This is why we went of course......

Image

No 17 Dave Wass our friendly neighbourhood Storm Racer. Had an off on Saturday when someone torpedoed him at Druids, then got his foot run over by the bike behind....8th in first race today in the dry, 6th in 2nd race in the wet.... He said he was well chuffed with results.

Rained quite a bit, shelter was taken in the cafe & various pit lane garages, there were quite a few off's today & some very mud splattered bikes & riders were seen emerging from the wreaking vans.....

Hope everybody got home OK if a little damp..

Thanks for the Ice cream Si...

Don't mention the mighty blue Storms power figures.......

Oh yeah we saw Kevs bike down there in the paddock but we couldn't find Kev.

what a day.
i rode all the way to brands on one cylinder with the second one kicking in when it felt like it, bloody un-nerving when you go around a corner and the bike accelerates and you aren't even twisting the throttle :eek2
had a great laugh with the lads and mrs mon, saw alot of crashes non of which looked serious thankgod, then mr mon pointed out the mobile dyno in the pit lane, so me and duffy rode there to have our bikes dyno'd back to back, even tho mine was as sick as a dog :(
the others walked over and got drenched in the rain
duffy's bike put up some good figures for a standard bike and as tony said it has a great torque curve....
then it was the turn of the blue beast or should i say pig, it was that bad the fella couldn't even produce figures for me to see
£25 down the pan.....
then we figured out the rear coil was loose, thanks again mr mon....
so coil sorted, idle speed turned down and the bike was alot better but still not right, i had a word with the dyno guy and he said he'd re-dyno it for gratis.....result
the bikes running so rich it was off the scale :eek2 in the end the blue beast posted the tarmac shredding figures of 67bhp and 61lbs of torque
thats down 20+bhp on last time
still it was running so much better on the way home in the rain. room for improvement me thinks, i'll get to tonys dyno guy in a couple of weeks time when the bikes full power will be released :D
the rain was horrendous and at one point the racing was stopped to give the track a chance to dry out, fair play to mrs mon she didn't complain about the weather and ended up walking around barefoot
and i ended up having the last laugh, as we left the track duffys bike started coughing and spluttering as it went down to one cylinder, and mine roared off with two and a mighty 67bhp
