I'm sure Lloydie would do it, in exchange for a little favour!

Yes that's a nice bin, much better than the wheelie type, of course you could have done better & used a good old galvanized steel one.

Made a little mess in the garage trying to sort parts out for cleaning and painting .
I really need to fit some shelves and strip lights and paint the walls white as it's going to be a long winter working in there .

Planned to fit my brembo pads, new light and the Yoshimura but had burglars in the back garden outside my window again just as I was nodding off, wombles walked into the planter and knocked that over as I ran outside with my wheel spindle as a weapon herd one of the fences banging and some voice noise on background but didn't know which way they went, so didn't get to sleep for ages and now it's too late to wombles about with the bike

Not again Seb jeez you need to do something about this. Once is bad but twice...well, don't know what to say really. Razor wire on the walls in your garden or build a higher wall. Or my personal favourite as Lloyd said, a bigger dog. One that specialises in home protection. Dog de Bordeaux should do the job nicely. French Police used to use them.

Fitted manual cct's and part reassembled, was happy to discover the rattle previous owner had reported was just the front cct losened off, cams were in correct possition, no teeth jumped and fingers crossed no damage done.
But the very best news is that in the light of day ive discovered my Storm is not teal but is in fact Blue

Lesser of two evils...
Good news on the mechanicals though...

Pulled Pauline's carbs off, checked the diaphragms and pulled the jets. Rear main looked clogged, blasted them all through - and cleaned the float bowls. Ran out of time to do TPS, but now I know how they come off it'll be quicker next time. Made sure I routed the carb breathers in the factory modified position. Let's hope that sorts the erratic misfire....

Had a play around with the exhaust today.
As you can see this is going to be a real challenge. Either way I think I will have to loose the rear mounts that would connect to the rearsets. Not sure how I am going to fit everything up. The right side would be easier if I lost the pipe that has the restrictor and mounting point altogether which is disappointing.
Not sure what I am going to do yet. And the left side is going to be just as much of a challenge.
As you can see the bend from the header sits a lot further back. I could either chop a lot of the Arata link or chop a bit off the Mori both I don't really want to do so I'm thinking I may just disconnect the small elbow pipe that comes off the Mori's that includes the rearset mounting point and replace with a different mandrel bend similar to how it was before.
None of my options are ideal, I don't mind disconnecting the Mori bend on the left as this keeps it as is without butchering it anymore than it is. But on the other hand it has already been butchered by the previous owner so should I just go ahead and cut it further back right on the apex of the bend loosing the exhaust rearset mounting point. This would at least allow me to keep the part that attaches with the spring underneath the rear link pipe by the shock.
The other side (right hand) well, I would ideally like to keep the Mori restrictor but this will be messy to make fit. It would be so much easier and tidy looking to just remove that complete section and clamp the Arata link straight on. Do I really want to loose the restrictor, it's there for a reason.
Not sure what to do now, so shall have a think about things. I will most likely go with the least destructive and easier fitment for now. which means just removing both Mori end elbow pipes that consist of the restrictor (right side only) and rearset mounting points.
That's this one for the right side by the spring.
And here's the restrictor that is inside this part.
And the left side you can just see the other side (torwards top of pic) under where the rear cylinder link connects.
Things would be so much more simple with standard headers but then it would rust. Also I would need a new one as the one I have taken off the bike has had it's day.
The way I see it....at least the main sections of the header would remain. But I'm sacrificing the restrictor and those nice elbow pipes that are connected by springs to the main pipe.
So all that would remain is this....
and this minus the smaller pipes that attach to this including the restrictor....
