Otherwise you'd have lots of oil fumes going into the bottle, and there never is any.
So it's more of a pulse of air that's pushed into the airbox, but as the vent hole in the bottle is quite small, the bottle acts as an air reservoir, allowing pressure to build and drop each pulse.
Try running the engine with the lid off and feel with your hand- I don't think it makes much heat as such.
And in any case, the design on Storms means that the airbox snorkel draws air in for between the vee of the cylinders and also pull sin what's gone through the oil cooler.....
I'm convinced that ram air from cool air from the nose would help, even without the slight increase in intake charge pressure. Colder, denser air will take a fraction more fuel and generate bigger bangs.
It was just a thought and mine did blow oil into the airbox from time to time...... in the end though, for whatever reason, it does work well and that is all that is important.
I had a couple of long talks with Bob H. (RIP) If you don't know that name, he was the US Moriwaki guy and our "Roger" in the US VTR program (along with Dan Kyle) but that is another topic.
Anyways he did give me their set ups and problems running different ram air system, but that is more of a PM conversation to have with you sometime

Yes mate Titanium

I wouldn't have replaced the original Ti one for anything other than Ti, I love that Stain Sheen that Ti has, for me i hate the Shinny Bling look of Stainless Steel

looks good does that new type 4D vinyl might have to get some come pay day
Need to get some driving lessons and a test done, got some insurance on birds car other day, not drove for 9 years was easy just felt normal again other than the Yaris is a piece of sh1t, don't know how she drives that, there is no feel at all from the throttle its so softly spring on the pulley you could fart and it would hit the floor, also the clutch is to soft and the brakes felt like there was a wad of sponge before anything was happening
didn't stall or anything like that just my god what a piece of sh1t, if it was my car i would be busy for a week sorting it so there was some feel to it
so yeah need a car as im not using the Gixxer for winter
only hard bit is going to be judging gaps as I'm used to if my elbows will fit the bike will fit mentality
also that big pillar in the way wombles me its easy to see how people don't see motorbikes, found my self trying to look around it alot just feels s wrong not having a unbroken field of vision from left to right

Should try a zafira with an A post the size of a rugby players thigh !
Learning in a car you feel comfortable in is very important as it will help you learn faster .
But to be honest I thought all lads from the age of 5 in Manchester could drive !!

Well I fitted the simplistic " loobman " chain oiler to left on ..
rear passenger strut and slingle oil drip feed onto sprocket
and chain ... works really well and should have done it a
long time ago .. chain oiled and runs smoother noticably ... works
when you need to oil the chain.

if it ain't sheep or virt, you've now got your sights set on rugby players......
I think its a wise move not riding the bike thru winter seb...
tonight i'll be saying goodbye to my storm, the new owners picking her up this evening. feels odd selling a bike that I've (and carl) rebuilt, regardless of the trials and tribulations along the way, you get attached to it, the bike performed really well around London the other night....
not sure when i'll be swinging my leg over another storm, hopefully springtime next year...

Lots of Rugby players in Rugby, he's basically just using me..
Also, just thought I'd fix your post for you.
feels odd selling a bike that Carl rebuilt on the energy provided by the cuppa's I made for him
Just so you still feel like you had a part in it

It's okay, at least you managed to ride the bike by yourself the other night, you are independent in your own way
