There you go '92 0n the J, 51k. Few body work dings & scrapes but then it is 22 years old. Not bad for £*$^ Just to clarify its not running ATM, been unused since '05 & not started for 2 years & now wont start. Turns over but wont catch. Hopping it's a fuel issue. They have a fuel tap but also a vacuum diaphragm on the pump. Hopping it's that simple...

Dragged it out of the MacCave, put air in the tyres, took the battery off to charge ( exact same as Storm ! which is good as I have two spares..)

Oiled up the seat release catch.

Haven't officially named it yet but for now it's mainly referred to as ''Start you b8stard Start'' whipping with branch optional...

Carbs will need a good clean up if it been sitting around for that long without being started. Jets will all be clogged up if they where not drained. You may also want to turn it over ny jhand and get some oil circulating around the engine before starting it. Or take the cam cover off and pour some oil over the cams and top end. Both would be the better option.

Start with the basics...ignition, charge battery see if you have a spark, then move onto to fuel, then electrics.

Download yourself a workshop manual from the following.

I resurrected one of these a couple of years ago. Fuel pump was the issue there.
Pull the feed pipe off and switch on ignition, there should be a healthy flow, not a gravity-fed dribble.

Don't buy a Honda one, they're stupid money, any small petrol car one will do, as long as it's small enough.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

What about a Facet fuel pump. All the Africa Twin boys swear by them.
