It could get a bit Shaky at high speeds or even Lowes at slow speed.unless you are Shaky or Lowes

Subtle changes is what I would call it.

i did write one, but decided to put the fire out.......... bottom line it is each to their own, but I could tell you if your bike had a 3mm shock spacer just by riding itmattycoops43 wrote:Thanks chaps, I was expecting to be shot down in flames tbh!
Your missing something. The height of your bars is separate from the height of the forks in the yokes. Changing the height of the forks moves the angle of the frame/headstock up and down so you changing the geometry of the bike.Or am I missing something in my tired state?
Raising the bars changes your body position & pulling the forks up changes the bikes geometry.Ckennedy wrote:Not sure if it is just me but wouldn't adding bar risers and lowing the bike down the forks contradict itself? Wouldn't you have been better getting some later model clip ons and bringing them to the top of the forks? Or am I missing something in my tired state?
I agree that for a lot of riders +4mm here & -4mm there will make diddly squat of difference but for a few, it would indeed 'transform' setup-A from setup-B.mattycoops43 wrote:Thanks chaps, I was expecting to be shot down in flames tbh!
The changes would have positive effects on comfort but negative on performance.....it would make it more like a chopperJamoi wrote: Both changes should be a positive for comfort & performance ;)

Now that would require sticking a gear stick in the middle of your tank.it would make it more like a chopper
Pulling the forks up through the clamps would be a positive... I didn't mean the other way... That would be Raleigh Chopper-esq!AMCQ46 wrote:The changes would have positive effects on comfort but negative on performance.....it would make it more like a chopperJamoi wrote: Both changes should be a positive for comfort & performance ;)
