i'll try and sort out some pictures tomorrow, the bikes at a mates garage being rebuilt, my mate machined them for me, i can ask him if it was hard work or not, if enough people are interested i'll ask him if he wants to offer up a price for doing them for other people, you have to remember there are no rear footrests with this mod tho............

Adjusted the gear change linkage, details found somewhere, think it may have been the Oz site… and what a mod it is! This really does improve things no end and I can’t believe that has taken me this long to get around to it.

I also did the 6mm spacer under the top mono-shock mounting and once again I realise now that I should have done it ages ago. :D

Finally, I did the lazy carb clean technique and was most surprised to report that it worked a treat also. It must have cleared out gunk in the pilot jets because my storm is much happier at tick over. 8)

Anyway a good days tinkering…

Fitted a steering damper....had the damper in the shed since my MZ racing days, and decided to fit it rather than flog it. Got a nice 41mm fork leg clamp off e-bay and made the frame mount out of some 3mm stainless plate I had stashed underthe workbench. Very pleased with the result

starting the long road to restore back to something less corroded - pipes off to replace corroded front studs. Only problem is the pipes wont budge

Plus took a look at the front sprocket and it needs replacing

you should have said, because i've got a 41mm fork clamp sitting around, it was from a sprint damper. i had to change mine to a 50mm because of the blade forks.
i look forward to seeing what mods you would have done come spring time buddy.......
