i've never had to put a spanner on her except for servicing....not bad for a 93/K reg...17000 miles and only £300 3yrs ago
Won't go far without the chain on!
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Today I fitted the 92 blade forks to the storm
The forks have been fitted with new
Bushes
Linear springs suited to my 17stone
Seals
oil 7.5
And new taper head bearings
Just need the get a blade wheel spindle and spacers now
I also fitted the u/l renthal bars but I put the holes in the top yoke to far foreword it's a good job I have a spare lol
Here some pics ImageImageImageImage
Next job is to drill spare top yoke and fit then do the valve clearances

Split my back end ! Cleaned and greased all suspension link bearings, which were in pretty good shape. Also fitted a custom shock from Jamie Dougherty in the USA. If it wasnt pouring down I would be out trying it out.

you have to look at it keeps us busy during the winter, say 4 months....that would be a lot of hookers for 4 months of satisfaction and the bike will always be a better ride after 4 months.

The weekend there saw me take the baffles out for probably the last bit of nice weather we're going to see this year! Blue skies + (mainly) dry roads!

After I'd scared countless people/animals with the V-Twin roar, it was time to head for home and give the bike a bath. It's not looking too shabby if I do say so myself!

Image

Now just to finish sanding/painting the Moriwaki style bellypan and get it fitted, then strip/paint the wheels.....

92 fireblade fitted just need to put the exhausts back on and wait for a dry day to test it .

I didn't have to trim the fairing :)
I will be getting a proper top yoke
Then I think it will need trimming .
Also removed the hid set up as I will
Be going down the relay route
Once I've made it
