i got the my tank back from my mate who soda blasted it for me
I have never heard of soda blasting before. I expect that is a lightweight version of sandblasting is it or is it a coating? :confused That tank looks so big compared to the Storm, nice!
O and i got a new helmet
What no teeth or big grin.

Sodablasting is a process in which sodium bicarbonate is applied against a surface using compressed air. An early use was to restore the Statue of Liberty in the late 1980s.[1]

Sodablasting is a non-destructive method for many applications in cleaning, paint stripping, automotive restoration, industrial equipment maintenance, rust removal, graffiti removal, molecular steel passivation against rust, oil removal by saponification and translocation, masonry cleaning and restoration, soot remediation, boat hull cleaning and for food processing facilities and equipment.

Thanks for the explanation. So if it's non destructive, to me, that is superior to sandblasting.

And if you wash the parts in warm water afterwards any soda "grit" that is "hiding" dissolves so no fear of anything being left in oilways etc.

That looks mean. Like a spitfire engine in your bike. Have the stacks got a mesh filter inside of them?

Re-thinking the rear sub frame at the moment (i had what i wanted in my head) but this would not work.

Stupid me did not think about wheel movement, tyre size etc

So i've got to re-do it all again :whatever :whatever

All i need now is to find a pipe bender and some tubing

Yeah, but you wouldn't get all those lovely little sections welded neatly together, with blueing and golden heat hues rainbowing off the surface....

Mind you, you wouldn't if I'd welded it, either.
You'd get spatter, globs, uneven surfaces and burn holes.........
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
